A: Save Africa's Children is a freestanding, non-sectarian, tax-exempt, nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, CA. We work in African nations with a variety of community-based partners to deliver aid and assistance to vulnerable and impoverished children.
Q: What types of programs does Save Africa's Children support and where are they?
A: Save Africa's Children targets entities in sub-Saharan Africa, primarily Eastern and Southern Africa that serve as the epicenter of the African AIDS pandemic. These grassroots and church-based projects range from institutional care to community-based initiatives.
Q: Does Save Africa's Children facilitate adoption, fostering or individual sponsorship of children in Africa?
A: No. Our focus is to ensure that children remain in their communities and are given the care they need through the organizations we support in Africa.
Q: How can I work with one of SAC's projects in Africa?
A: SAC does not have a formal program that sends volunteers to our partner projects in Africa. However, based on the interest, we may be able to refer you to organizations.
