  • Save Africa's Children Awarded $25,000 Grant from The MAC AIDS Fund/MAC Global Foundation

    Save Africa's Children (SAC), founded by Bishop Charles E. Blake, has directly assisted over 400 orphan care programs in 21 African nations, reaching over 100,000 African children. SAC partners with a range of entities mitigating the AIDS orphans crisis on the ground in Africa, including schools, day care centers, medical clinics, feeding programs and children's homes. SAC is now one of the largest African American initiatives providing direct support to orphans in Africa.

    The Combined Federal Campaign is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

  • Denzel Washington Donates $1,000,000 to Save Africa's Children

    July 11, 2006

    Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington donated 1 million dollars to Los Angeles based Save Africa's Children to help in their efforts to provide direct support and raise awareness for an additional 300 orphan care projects across the continent. Currently, 17 million children in Africa have been orphaned as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
